About
TIDJANI Chemseddine is a Senior Researcher at the Research Centre in Applied Economics for Development (CREAD). He obtained a PhD degree in commercial sciences from the University of Kasdi Merbah (Ouargla, Algeria) in 2016.
As a permanent researcher in a full-time capacity, his primary research focuses on corporate finance, financial inclusion, financial innovation, and FinTech. He has led impactful research projects on innovation in Algeria's electronics sector and financial risk management in public-private partnerships. An active member of academic initiatives like YSI, NARIMA, and EU-COST Action_19130, Tidjani has presented his work at numerous global forums, including ISBEE 2022 and ReMProAfrica 2019. He also serves on advisory and editorial boards for journals such as SAGE Open, Les Cahiers du CREAD, ABPR, and JQM. In 2023, Tidjani joined the ISBEE Executive Commission (2022-2026 term). He was also honored as a young economist in 2022, participating in the 7th Lindau Nobel Laureates meeting (Germany). Prior to CREAD, he worked in financial control within the public administration.
Key Achievements and Outputs
The EU-COST Action 19130 has provided me with an invaluable platform to actively contribute to numerous publications and participate in impactful meetings, while building a network of collaborators that extends beyond European universities and research institutions. Additionally, it has allowed me to explore new ideas, methodologies, and datasets, which have significantly enhanced my research skills and broadened my expertise and perspectives on shared topics of interest.
