Dr. Akar, Associate Professor at Department of Mathematics, College of Arts and Sciences, Yildiz Technical University (YTU), Istanbul, Turkey. After he received a PhD degree in 2012, he has been at the Florida State University (FSU), Department of Mathematics for his Post-Doctoral in Tallahassee, Florida, USA between 2013 and 2014 and he taught several classes at the Tallahassee Community College (TCC) in Tallahassee, Florida, USA in 2016. While he worked as a visiting professor at Texas A&M University-Commerce (TAMUC), he made journal publications and taught several classes there. He is the recipient of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) grants in 2013, and 2018 and also recipient of YTU Scientific Research Grant in 2021. His research area is applied mathematics, machine learning, neural networks, computer science, data classification, data science, differential equations, differential geometry, geometry, partial differential equations, mathematics education. He is teaching computer-aided mathematical calculations, advanced computer programming, business calculus, calculus I-II, linear algebra, differential equations, clifford algebras and their applications, transforms and geometries, intermediate algebra, introductory computer sciences.
