Gizay Daver has successfully defended his doctoral thesis entitled “Turkish Banking Sector Performance Analysis After the 2001 Crisis” and has earned the right to use the title of Doctor in Banking and Finance. He is actively involved in various institutions and organizations such as the Ministry of Justice, the Expertise Department, and the Banks Association of Turkey. He works towards establishing a healthier and more transparent financial system, and participates in various volunteer activities to prepare future generations for their careers in finance and banking. He is a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals and holds Capital Markets Board of Turkey’s licenses for derivative instruments and level 3 capital market activities. With over ten years of teaching experience, he is a highly qualified educator in the field. In 2022, he began studying computer programming at Istanbul University, Turkey, as he believes that the future of finance lies in the digital realm.
As of 2023, he has joined the COST Action 19130, Fintech and Artificial Intelligence in Finance - Towards a Transparent Financial Industry (FinAI)
Also, he takes roles aiming at the "Enhance the awareness and acceptance of Industrial Symbiosis" in CA22110, which is Cooperation, development and cross-border transfer of Industrial Symbiosis among industry and stakeholders (LIAISE). Prof. Daver is the holder of Jean Monnet Module named EUfinDiAlog at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University
