Ania Zalewska is a Professor of Finance, Research Chair, and the Dean of Research and Enterprise at the University of Leicester School of Business. She holds a PhD in Economics (London Business School) and a PhD in Mathematics (Polish Academy of Sciences). She is the Academia-Government Co-ordinator and UK representative at the Management Board of the EU-COST Action on Fintech and Artificial Intelligence in Finance, and heads the Green Finance Group at the UK RI sponsored the Land Use for Net Zero Hub. Her research interests include the development and regulation of, and innovation in, financial markets, corporate governance, governance of mutual and pension funds, the behavioural aspects of investing and market participation by retail investors. Ania has published extensively in leading academic journals (e.g., Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, Economic Journal, Journal of Corporate Finance, etc.) and advised various governmental bodies (e.g., Competition Commission, HMRC, FSA, DECC, BEIS, Committee on Standards in Public Life, National Infrastructure Commission).
